We have a number of useful items for hire. These can be ordered, collected and returned from places in and around York. We do not keep them centrally. If you are a member and would like to hire out any of these items at a nominal fee. To contact the equipment officer, please use the email equipment@yorkbeekeepers.com.
Items include:
- 12 frame manual honey extractor – £13
- 3 frame manual honey extractor – £7
- Gas blowtorch – £10
- Steam wax extractor – £7
- Wax melter double boiler – £7
- Refractometer – £4
Hire periods for all items are either Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday. Standard collection times are between 5pm and 7pm. Collection outside of these times may be possible with prior arrangement. At honey harvest times, hire periods for extractors may be shortened to one or 2 days to meet demand.
