Description

This course is suitable for people who want to learn the practical modules but don’t want to buy the bees + hive package. The practical modules are still hands on, but using the bees from the Association’s apiary.

Proposed dates: 10, 17, 24 and 31 May, 7 June 2027  (five sessions on consecutive Mondays). These dates are indicative only, and can be altered depending on the weather or when the bees will be ready.

Time: 6.30pm – 8.30pm.

Venue: Association Apiary, Yorkshire Museum of Farming, Murton Park, York YO19 5UF

NOTE: if you are buying the course as a present, please add the name and email address of the person attending to the notes at the checkout.

IMPORTANT: the practical course fee includes annual membership to the YDBKA and BBKA, which are important for insurance purposes. This portion of the fee (£30.00) is NOT REFUNDABLE in case of cancellation, but you will receive all the benefits of the membership for the year.

The minimum age for this course is 12 years old. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a parent or guardian for the full duration of the course, which will also be a paying student.

The Theory Modules are a pre requisite to the practical, you must book them together.
