Apiary meeting – Martin Ainsley
This month’s Open Apiary will be at the Association’s apiary at Murton: Martin is in charge of the Apiary and is one of our most experienced beekeepers.
On Saturday 13th May he will be demonstrating simple queen rearing techniques and touching upon other seasonal topics. This is an excellent opportunity for both beginners and the more experienced to see practical beekeeping in action.
YOU MUST WEAR A CLEAN BEE SUIT, BOOTS AND GLOVES
The apiary is at the YMF, Murton. When you arrive, do not go through the main building: go through the small car park to the left of the building, then through the field gate, and head for the new shed about 100 yards ahead of you. The apiary is through the gate to the right of the shed.
If you wish to have a look round the museum, you must go back to the main building and pay the full entrance charge.
