Apiary Visit – Preparing for autumn

APIARY VISIT at ACASTER MALBIS

This Open Apiary will be hosted by Alan Johnston and Kate Wallace, both of whom are highly qualified in both the academic and practical aspects of beekeeping: not to be missed!
They will be covering the seasonal topic of “preparing your colonies for autumn” and, bees and weather permitting, queen introduction and uniting colonies. The session is aimed primarily at those newish to beekeeping, and those who have lost colonies in the winter.

Directions: Look for the signs for Ainsty Ales and Hydrographics by the gate. Go through the gate and follow the YDBKA signs after that. Car parking will be available. Please drive slowly down the track.
Essential: Please wear freshly washed bee suit, boots and gloves.
